Chelsea Field Announces Debut Single at Conclusion of CRS 2010
Moxy Records recording artist Chelsea Field has wrapped up her first Country Radio Seminar and will release her debut single, “Things I Should’ve Said,” in the coming weeks to Country radio.
Field attended CRS 2010 in Nashville, where she spent several days doing interviews, networking and preparing for the release of her first single, “Things I Should’ve Said.” She also helped to close out this year’s CRS with a performance at Digital Rodeo’s “Guilty Pleasures” show on Friday night alongside acts like Emily West, Love & Theft, Mark Wills, Steve Azar, Julie Roberts, Buddy Jewell, Mallary Hope, Bomshel and Laura Bell Bundy.

“The whole CRS experience for me was just amazing,” says Field. “There is so much you can learn about the Country radio business at CRS, and the timing of it couldn’t have been better for me, personally. We got feedback from so many people at the seminar, and I know it’s going to help us when we release ‘Things I Should’ve Said’ in the coming weeks.”
Award-winning songwriter and producer Trey Bruce (Trace Adkins, Chris Ledoux, Rebecca Lynn Howard) produced Field’s debut album and single. In February, Field became the first artist to sign with new Nashville-based independent label, Moxy Records.
A video is currently being planned for “Things I Should’ve Said.” Field’s debut album is scheduled for release in summer 2010.

Adam Green's "Minor Love"
Adam Green's new album Minor Love hits stores from Fat Possum Records. The album shows a more serious, tender side of the uniquely charming, accomplished Green, who Time Out New York's The Volume blog recently declared, "...ranks among the city's strangest and most engaging young songwriters...he has created a body of work that's deceivingly smart...". Minor Love, his sixth solo venture since the Moldy Peaches went on hiatus in 2002, is a very personal, '70s-influenced folk-rock album and Green's best work to date: in a four-star review, Q Magazine wrote, "...Minor Love is charming; regularly recalling, on tracks such as Castles And Tassels, the barbed-yet-playful love songs Lou Reed used to pen."
AOL Music's Spinner blog premiered Green's video for Minor Love's first single "What Makes Him Act So Bad." The Todd Smolar-directed video, shot in New York City's famed Chelsea Hotel and featuring model/DJ Harley Viera-Newton, can be seen here, while the song can be downloaded here. Spinner is also featuring a full album stream for the week here. Earlier this month, RCRD LBL premiered album track "Castles and Tassels" as their 'MySpace Music RCRD of the Day;' the track can now be downloaded here.
Green will embark on a three and a half week headlining tour beginning April 1st at Venue in Vancouver, BC, and wrapping up April 23rd and 24th with a two-night hometown stand at the Bowery Ballroom in New York, NY. Last month, he spent ten days on the road in support of The Cribs before traveling overseas, where he is currently on a headlining tour in Europe. Green will also perform at SXSW in March.
The 6th Annual Ringside: A Fight for Kids
The 6th Annual Ringside: A Fight for Kids
has been set for Friday, March 5 at The Factory’s Liberty Hall (230 Franklin Road, 37064) in Franklin, Tennessee beginning at 6:30 pm.
The event will benefit The Charley Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides support to charitable agencies addressing the critical needs of children. Nashville’s premiere charity boxing event Ringside will feature a gourmet dinner, surprise musical performances and celebrity guests, a live auction and four professional boxing bouts.
In addition, the evening will include a “Rumble on the Row” match-up pitting Music Row’s own Jimmy Rector, Columbia Nashville VP of National Promotion, against Goodlettsville’s Jon Jayne, an amateur boxer.
"I love the work the Charley Foundation does on behalf of Nashville's children,” says Rector. “If me getting hit in the face a few times can make a child's' life better, then I am in."
Ringside: A Fight for Kids will take place on Friday, March 5 at 6:30 pm. Table sponsorships are available, as well as individual tickets at $250.00 each. Online donation can be made by visiting www.charleyfoundation.org. Contact Carolyn Miller at (615)297-3099 ext. 103 for details.
Last year's event, the 5th Annual Ringside: A Fight for Kids raised over $100,000 dollars for The Charley Foundation. Help knock it out again this year.
The Charley Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides support to charitable agencies addressing the critical needs of children. Through donations, sponsorships and fundraising events, the Charley Foundation supports agencies that provide relief for children who are victims of neglect, abuse or other crises, children who live with chronic or critical illness, children who endure poverty or homelessness, and children who require mentoring or other proactive outreach. An entirely volunteer-driven organization, the Charley Foundation guarantees that each charitable agency they support is a non-profit, tax-exempt charity governed by volunteers. Additionally, all organizations that are funded must submit an annual independent financial audit, keep overhead and administrative expenses to a minimum and maintain a policy of non-discrimination.

Digital Rodeo Closes Out CRS 2010 with Second Annual “Guilty Pleasures” Show
DigitalRodeo.com and Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc.® celebrated the official conclusion of CRS 2010 with their second annual “Guilty Pleasures” show at Cadillac Ranch in Nashville on Friday, Feb. 26, 2010.

Artists gather at the end of the Digital Rodeo Guilty Pleasures show for a Johnny Cash birthday tribute jam. Artists (l to r): Members of One Night Rodeo, members of Due West, Adam Gregory, Burns & Poe, Buddy Jewell, Chelsea Field, Julie Roberts, Laura Bell Bundy. Photo: Bev Moser.
The evening featured nearly two-dozen artists delivering versions of their favorite “Guilty Pleasures” cover songs. The show included performances by: Steve Azar, Bomshel, Laura Bell Bundy, Burns & Poe, Coldwater Jane, Due West, Chelsea Field, Adam Gregory, Andy Griggs, Mallary Hope, Buddy Jewell, Sammy Kershaw, LoCash Cowboys, Love & Theft, One Night Rodeo, Marty Raybon, Julie Roberts, Emily West, Bryan White and Mark Wills. AfterMidNite host and popular radio personality Blair Garner hosted the show, which ended with an all-star jam and Johnny Cash birthday tribute performance.
“This is the second year in a row that Digital Rodeo helped close out Country Radio Seminar with a great night of performances at Cadillac Ranch,” said DigitalRodeo.com Director of Marketing and Promotions John Pyne. “Those who got in got to see some of the best and brightest new artists in Country music like Emily West, Mallary Hope, Laura Bell Bundy, Chelsea Field and Love & Theft, plus a host of established fan favorites like Marty Raybon, Buddy Jewell, Mark Wills, Julie Roberts and Steve Azar. The band that our musical director, Scotty Huff, put together was phenomenal again this year and I know several of the artists commented on that, as well. We’re already thinking about the theme for CRS 2011.”
Added Digital Rodeo Director of Industry Relations Robert Reynolds, “We were thrilled at this year’s turnout and the energetic performances at our ‘Guilty Pleasures’ show. The crowd was really into it, and I think everyone would agree that Blair Garner was the perfect host for the event. The whole idea behind our show is for artists to cut loose and really have fun, and when you see electrifying performances like Laura Bell Bundy doing her choreographed dance routine to the Ike and Tina Turner version of ‘Proud Mary,’ it makes us particularly proud because we know the artists are having fun, the audience is having fun and it’s just a great way overall to wrap up Country Radio Seminar.”
Digital Rodeo was a prominent sponsor at this year’s CRS, outfitting Country Radio Seminar volunteers in the Convention Center with CRS 2010 / DigitalRodeo.com t-shirts during the three-day event.

WSM continues to be on the cutting edge of programming like no other radio station in the country through digital media and an expanded playlist to encompass 'all things country.'"
Shannon McCombs produces the new shows with WSM's Robin Roberts as co-producer. McCombs' past experience includes working with Kix Brooks on his CMA award-winning syndicated show "America's Country Countdown."
