Southwest Airlines is reducing one flight each to nine markets it currently serves from Nashville International Airport.
From Aug. 16 through Oct. 30, Southwest is cutting one flight to Chicago Midway, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Orlando, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Raleigh/Durham, San Diego and Tampa.
“These are seasonal changes that impact early morning and late evening flights. Southwest added an additional flight to several of these markets earlier this year, in March and May schedules. Southwest and several other airlines continue to offer service to these cities,” says Raul Regalado, president and CEO of the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, which owns and operates Nashville International.
The Nashville airport is served by 14 carriers, and provides direct air service to 70 markets.

Country Artist Adam Gregory To Star In New Film "WWJD"
Country recording artist Adam Gregory has signed on to co-star in the upcoming film "WWJD" based on one of the best-selling Christian books of all-time.
Based on the classic Charles Sheldon book, "In His Steps: What Would Jesus Do," the novel currently sells an average of 100,000 copies per year and is available in 26 languages around the world. More than 40 million copies have been sold since it was written in 1896, second only to the Bible.
Gregory will star in the film alongside John Schneider (The Dukes of Hazzard tv show, Nip/Tuck, CSI, Smallville) and Maxine Bahns (The Mentalist, The Lost Tribe).
"My faith and my music are very closely related," says Gregory. "I feel truly blessed for an opportunity where I can incorporate both into a project that serves a bigger purpose and will hopefully reach millions of others."
Gregory's original song "What Would Jesus Do," from his recent Canadian release Crazy Days, will also be featured in the film. The song was co-written by Keith Follese and Billy Yates.
The film, produced by Joe and Jack Nasser and Kevin Otto of Nasser Entertainment Group, follows four individuals (a singer, a newspaper editor, a wealthy philanthropist and a minister who has lost his faith) as they vow to walk in "the steps of Jesus."
Filming on the project begins this week in Los Angeles, CA.
Gaylord Opryland's All-American Country Getaway
Nashville's No. 1 tourist attraction, the Grand Ole Opry, is an American icon. For more than 80 years, this is where the biggest names in country music have wowed the crowds.
Opry visitors have the chance to see several performances each week, including a new show highlighting country's all-time top hits, and take guided backstage tours of the place that put country music on the map. And this year, you can save money on a country music vacation with Gaylord Opryland's All-American Country Getaway packages.
The biggest savings -- more than 40 percent -- come with the four-night package. For $425 a person (plus tax and resort fee), you get a room for four nights at the Gaylord Opryland Resort, a ticket to "Always ... Patsy Cline," preferred seating at the Grand Ole Opry, a "Country Music USA" dinner cruise, preferred seating to "Opry Country Classics," one buffet breakfast, admission and transportation to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Ryman Auditorium Museum, as well as a Delta River Flatboat ride.

CURSIVE ANNOUNCES JUNE/JULY U.S. TOUR DATES
With their spring tour now under way, Cursive announces a new run of U.S. dates this June and July. Kicking off June 13th at the Westword Music Showcase in Denver, CO, the tour will take the band to and down the west coast before wrapping up July 1st at Club Sound in Salt Lake City, UT. The band's current shows have already earned glowing praise, with the Riverfront Times' A to Z music blog (St. Louis, MO) raving about the tour-opener: "Cursive killed it on Friday night at the Firebird...75 minutes of cathartic material that struck a nice balance between new tunes from its latest, Mama, I'm Swollen ("From the Hips," "I Couldn't Love You") and back catalog ("Dorothy at 40," "Some Red Handed Sleight of Hand," "Art Is Hard")."
Cursive's sixth studio album, Mama, I'm Swollen, was released March 10th on Saddle Creek, capturing the attention of major media such as Rolling Stone, Billboard, Alternative Press, Playboy, and Time Out New York, among others. The band also made their network television debut March 13th on the Late Show with David Letterman (watch it here) with a kinetic performance of lead single "From The Hips" (watch the official video here). At the conclusion of the current spring tour, Cursive will head to the UK for two weeks in May. Full itinerary below.
